Renuniting with an old friend is always a joy.
To reach an old friend’s home, the express bus I took had to spend three and half hours on the highways.

As soon as I arrived in Jeonju, my friend and I went to Youth mall where various stores and restaurants launched by young people are concentrated.
“Dishes by the unemployed” that boasts Japanese style noodles and fries foods was chosen for our dinner. We ordered ‘citron noodles’, ‘rice with beef’, ‘shirimp fries’ and beer.
The citron noodles which are served only on weekdays were so refreshingly sweet and sour that I’d like to eat them every day.

Then, next day, my friend and her husband prepared various dishes for breakfast.

Rice with eggplant, soybean paste stew with beef brisket (one of my favorites), steamed egg with pollack roe, yogurt with figs, brownies made with tofu(no flour), etc. too many dishes to list them one by one.

I know well how much time and sincere effort goes into preparing dishes for guests (from choosing fresh ingredients, searching recipes, cooking, setting the table, cleaning up the table to doing the dishes)

I’m really thankful to my old friend and wait for her to visit to my home.

무화과를 한 접시 먹고도

계속 무화과를 찾는 나에게 친구가 무화과 엽서를 줬다.

​그 답례로 무화과 수채화 엽서를 주기로 했다.

밑그림을 그리고,

​

사진같은 느낌을 주려고 테두리에 마스킹테잎을 붙였다.

또 접시위의 색이 비어있는 부분이나

마루의 나뭇결을 나타내기위해 마스킹액으로 중간중간

얇은 직선을 그렸다.

연한 노랑에 연두색을 살짝 섞어서 가장자리를 칠한 후

안쪽에 빨강, 주황, 자주를 섞어가며 무화과 속을 그렸다.

색이 자연스럽게 섞이게 하려면

물이 마르기전에 다양한 색을 써야하는데,

초보인지라 빠르게 되지 않는다.​

엽서를 보며 접시를 칠했다.

그림자는 짙은 남색으로
​

마루는 회색으로 칠 한 후,

마르기 전에 중간중간 붉은색 연두색을 칠해 황토빛이 감돌게 했다.

그리고 마스킹액과 마스킹 테잎을 떼면

코젤다크생맥이 먹고싶어 들어갔다.
​

거품위에 뿌려진 시나몬설탕. 달달하니 좋다.

함께시킨안주는 맛이없었지만

가장자리에 흩뿌려진 설탕 덕분에 안주가 필요없기도 하다.

백수의 찬​

따뜻한 주황색 불빛이 짙은 파랑 간판과 잘 어울린다.

돈가트 튀김옷이 엄청 부드럽다.

함께시킨 소고기덮밥과 새우튀김

맥주는 당연히 빠질 수 없고...

맛있다. 유자소바. 매일 먹고싶다. 특히 이런 여름 날엔.

-처서를 기다리며-

여름 바닷가 조개 모음 수채화!

친구가 선물로 준 반투명화일에 바탕그림으로 있었던

그림이다.

알록달록 조개를 보는데

조개구이가 먹고싶은 건 뭐지
​

여름이라 푸른 바다 수채화를 연습했다.

‘나의 첫 번째 수채화 수업’ 이라는 책을 보고

그대로 따라 그림 그림인데,

수채화 초보자를 위한 책인 만큼

비교적 쉽게 그릴 수 있었다.

모래사장에 파도가 밀려오는 모습을 추가하면

더 멋질 것 같다.​
